Five Police Officers Killed During Anti-Police Brutality March In Dallas

The impact of the deadly shootings on police officers to citizens and citizens to police officers are devastating. Three police officers were gunned and four others injured in an apparent ambush in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. One of the officers killed on Sunday was the cousin of Virginia Tech quarterback Josh Jackson. Montrell Jackson had been with the force for ten years and leaves behind a wife and four-month old son. Josh Jackson tweeted yesterday his thanks for the prayers and condolences he was getting. Jackson also tweeted ‘people gotta understand that violence won’t stop any of this and will only make it worse.’ The 18-year old Jackson is a freshman at Tech and was one of the Hokies top recruits.
