Former Virginia governor Robert F. “Bob” McDonnell’s corruption convictions appeal is expected to be ruled on today. The U.S. Supreme Court argued McDonnell’s case in April and it was the last case the justices heard for this term. McDonnell and his wife Maureen were convicted on charges of taking gifts and loans in exchange for promoting a company’s dietary product. Both have remained free on bond pending their appeals. McDonnell’s appeal is on hold pending the Supreme Court’s decision today.
I want to thank Bob McDonnell for jump starting the engine and being the driving force behind automatic rights restoration on an individual basis for persons convicted of non-violent felonies in Virginia. Clovia Lawrence
