Over the weekend, social media went in on rapper Big Boi for tweeting two images of “motherhood” as he sees it. On one side was a picture of Esther Rolle as “Florida Evans” from Good Times, on the other, a woman in a thong and bra top smiles at the camera while a small child looks on.

Black Twitter couldn’t wait to sink its teeth into the fresh meat. Many found it problematic to slut shame Black mothers, targeting how some display their sexuality. Here’s what a few Twitter followers pointed out:

Big Boi later tried explaining himself in response to the criticism:
