The 10th Annual Send-A-Kid to Camp was a huge success with donations of more than $35,000 and still counting for children in the Richmond metro area. Feel free to make donation through May 30, 2017. All proceeds from Radio One Richmond stations and NBC12 Call Center donations will benefit children planning to attend Richmond Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities from June 26-August 25 at 11 centers. The great escape camps will run for nine weeks and will feature breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, creative imagination, non-traditional sports, swimming, river exploration, art camps and much more. The Send-A-Kid to Camp radiothon is in loving memory of my godson Alexander Lance Booker. Alex loved camp and his wonderful spirit lives on through his mother Kim Jones-Booker and I.
