When an infant cries it could mean a number of things from discomfort to wanting to be held. A three-month old girl is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed because she would not stop crying. Prince William County Police say 35 year-old Leah Arrington of Woodbridge, the mother of the infant, allegedly used a kitchen knife to stab the child in the lower body. Arrington is being held without bond on a charge of aggravated malicious wounding.
Another family member in the home at the time called police. Arrington was arrested without incident.
