Ex-Gov McDonnell Must Report To Prison For Two Years

The federal government will not allow former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell to remain free while his corruption convictions are on appeal. The U.S. Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli Jr said yesterday the evidence and the appeals court’s decision to uphold the convictions is enough to have McDonnell start his two-year sentence. He is currently free as he tries to have the U.S. Supreme review his corruption convictions.
