After winning a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actress on Sunday night, Taraji P. Henson has her sights set on an Emmy.

The actress is having quite a year, and we’re just in the first half. According to Vulture, Henson was involved in an Empire chat in Los Angeles last week, and the discussion turned to the Emmys. Show creators Lee Daniels and Danny Strong advised the audience that they weren’t making a show just to get all of the awards. Instead, they’re doing it for the craft.

But Henson had another plan in mind, and said she needs to win an Emmy “for history.”

“Clean that up, buddy! I’m tryin’ to make history!” How would Henson feel if she won the Emmy, given that no African-American female has won an Emmy for best actress in a drama series? “It would be incredible,” she said. “Wow! I gotta win! I gotta win for history!”
