A winter storm warning is in effect until 12-noon today
Virginia is in a state of emergency, declares Governor Terry McAuliffe. On Monday, Governor McAuliffe made that announcement in response to the National Weather Service’s reported winter snowstorm for Virginia.
Governor McAuliffe said some 25-hundred VDOT employees and state contractors using nearly 12-thousand trucks, plows and other equipment are treating the roads. The governor is urnging people to avoid or limit their driving during the storm.
