Amidst all of the protests over the deaths of Eric Garner in New York and Michael Brown in Ferguson that have been happening across the country, Hollywood joined in on the action this past weekend.

According to KTLA, hundreds of protestors took to the busy intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and North Highland Avenue, the area where a man allegedly armed with a knife was shot a number of times by police the night before, to participate in a die-in protest in the intersection. The investigation into that shooting is still ongoing at time of writing.

Celebrities and citizens alike showed up in droves for the protest, including figures like Tyrese Gibson, Kevin McCall, and Francia Raisa, among others. Participants were dressed in black and marched down Hollywood Boulevard chanting both “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” and “I Can’t Breathe,” while others staged the die-in.

Gibson posted a video to his FaceBook on Saturday encouraging anyone in the area to come protest with him and his daughter. The post received over 10,000 likes.
