Matthew 6:8 says “Jesus knows what you need before you ask”. If God knows what you need before you ask, why bother asking (praying) in the first place? The purpose is to Give Thanks for what has been done and what you know only he can do.
Imagine your spouse or child needing help but never coming to you? They ask everyone and try everything until there are no more options. Finally they come to you. Naturally you feel hurt and want to reject them but God forgives and is eager to help.
Don’t make him your last resort, make him a trusting resource because Father Knows Best. What has he done for you lately?
