Disgraced former mayor of New Orleans, Ray Nagin has been sentenced today in federal court in his birth city of New Orleans to 10 years in prison..
Nagin was found guilty back in February on 20 counts involving fraud, bribery and other related charges before and after the Hurricane Katrina, mostly dealing with kickbacks from contractors who swarmed upon the city to rebuild after the devastating tragedy .
Former Mayor Nagin grabbed headlines for being very emotional against the government for not acting in a timely manner to help his city…..looks like he helped himself to allot more than tears.
