Virginia has an election every year which means the peoples’ voice should be heard on issues of healthcare, education, civil rights, justice, jobs and medicare. Every aspect of your life is decided on at the “stroke of a vote”.
Register to vote, check your voter status or candidates on the ballot for the general election, by visiting the Department of Elections.
If you were convicted of a non violent felony and would like to start the process of getting your rights restored fill out the online request form here. There is a three year wait period for the those offenses considered violent. If you have completed your prison sentence, off probation, paid all fines and restitution and don’t have any pending felonies then you are eligible to start the process.
