Electronic cigarettes known as e-cigarettes are coming to inmates at a Virginia Beach jail. The Virginia Beach Correctional Center will reportedly begin selling the e-cigarettes at its inmate canteen this month. According to “PilotOnline.Com” Sheriff Ken Stolle conducted a survey of all 14-hundred inmates at the correctional facility. The results of the survey find that 85-percent of inmates want e-cigarettes made available to them.
The CrossBar electronic cigarettes will sell for $15 and is equivalent to two and a half packs of cigarettes, said Sheriff Stolle. E-cigarettes are perfectly designed for correctional centers because they are plastic, disposable, smokeless, nonflammable and can’t be turned into weapons, adds Sheriff Stolle.
