On March 23, 2010, the Affordable Care Act becomes law and according to the Obama administration during the first open enrollment period from October 2013-March 2014, nearly 7-million Americans have signed up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. A huge surge in open enrollment on the Health Insurance Marketplace came over the weekend and through Monday.

If you were trying to enroll at HEALTHCARE.GOV by the March 31 deadline for coverage in 2014 and did not finish, navigators may still be able to help you get covered. The next open enrollment starts November 15 for coverage in 2015.
