The City of Richmond settles a $1 million federal lawsuit for eight pipefitters claiming racial discrimination and harrassement while working at the Department of Public Utilities.

According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the city’s $1 million settlement does not include $400,678. 53 in legal fees which is paid to Jimmy F. Robinson JR & Associates.

The pipefitters were represented by the McEachin and Gee Law Firm in Eastern Henrico County. The pipefitters  are responsible for their own legal fees ordered July 29 by U.S. District Court Judge John A. Gibney JR. The pipefitters -Marcus Bradley, Jason Goodson, Tore Harris, Eric Johnson, Elwood Mayfield, Gabriel Posey, Lawrence Smith Jr., and Milton Williams
