The tight end for the Patriots was charged with the murder of Odin Lloyd, a 27 year old semi-pro football player. According to sources, the two were friends and Hernandez was with Lloyd the day before he died.
Hernandez pleaded “not guilty” to the charge of murder as well as to five other gun-related charges. He is being held without bail.
After he was arrested, the New England Patriots announced that they had released Hernandez.
