This weekend features two big releases: Pixar’s follow-up to Monster’s Inc. and a Brad Pitt zombie action movie.
Monster’s University
This prequel to the beloved Monster’s Inc covers the story of how Mike and Sully first met during their college years. Even though the duo is known for being the best of friends, they didn’t start that way. But in order to fulfill their dreams of becoming scarers, the pair realize they have to work together in a fraternity competition. This family friendly flick, promises a return to form for the animation juggernaut. Expect this anticipated film to take the box office this weekend.
World War Z
The zombie flick based off of the book of the same name has Brad Pitt in the lead role and plenty of action to boot. With the PG-13 rating, there won’t be the kind of gore zombie films are known for, but the zombies still look terrifying, similar to the ones seen in 28 Days Later. With the rise of zombies in popular culture (The Walking Dead), this movie will certainly appeal to a good portion of the masses.
