As if it was some kind of super secret, the NBA has announced that Miami Heat star LaBron James is the league’s Most Valuable Player for the fourth time in his career. The award puts James in elite company, joining the likes of Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Michael Jordan, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only players to win four MVPs.

James was presented with the award on Sunday in Miami by NBA Commisioner David Stern. James, who left Cleveland in the midst of a public relations firestorm, and while the fans had a bad taste in their mouths about him, he has definitely reinvented his public image, and the move proved to be fruitful for James and for the Heat after winning the NBA Championship last season.
