The 2013 NCAA Tournament was down to the Final Two! April Madness? With Louisville the only No. 1 seed to make to Atlanta, the Cardinals prevailed despite the loss of Kevin Ware, whose horrific injury devastated the sportsworld last weekend. After trailing Michigan most of the way in the national championship game last night, Rick Pitino’s team found their groove and began to wear down the Wolverines as final minutes went on, culminating in an 82 – 76 win and the 2013 National College Basketball Championship.
Gotta give Michigan and Coach John Beilein credit, they went on a serious run through the tournament, defeating VCU, Kansas, Syracuse, on their road to the championship game, but at the end of the day it wasn’t meant to be as Louisville proved to be the team they had been all year long.
