Even thought the moment calls for pomp & circumstance, First Lady Michelle Obama is always in style and always looking her very best, whether in designed fashions or something she threw together at Target. For Monday’s Inauguration ceremony, Mrs. Obama wore a Thom Browne coat with a sleek pair of J-Crew shoes, then later broke out of the coat to show off the matching dress, also designed by American designer Thom Browne, whom the First Lady reportedly sought out for the occasion. How fortunate is Thom, right?
Michelle Obama accented the ensemble with a bejeweled J-Crew belt and gloves, and sported her Reed Krakoff boots for the Inaugural Parade. She’s shown no reluctance to be an influence in women’s fashions, and it seems that whatever the First Lady decides to wear, SHE makes the clothes look good. Word is the First Daughters, Sasha & Malia had a lot of input in what the Mom-In-Chief would wear on Inauguration Day.
