Washington Washington Football Team fans are being optimistic in hoping for a speedy recovery for QB Robert Griffin III, who underwent knee surgery on Wednesday, and according to the surgeon, Dr. James Andrews, RG-3 could be out of action for 8 to 9 months barring any setbacks. During the surgery on his lateral collateral ligament (LCL), doctors discovered that indeed Griffin had damage to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) as well. The ACL tear wasn’t visible in the original MRI, and it’s the very same ligament he injured in college back in 2009. Fans are looking to the successful return of RB Adrian Peterson as their reason for optimism on RG-3’s return to the Washington Football Team……

The NFL Playoffs roll on this weekend with Richmond natives Russell Wilson & Michael Robinson leading the Seattle Seahawks into Atlanta to face the NFC’s top-seeded team. Seattle, fresh off the big win in Washington will have to stop QB Matt Ryan and WR Julio Jones to have a chance to beat the Falcons in the Georgia Dome. The Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Lewis is on his NFL Farewell Tour which stops this weekend in Denver, Colorado where another future NFL Hall of Famer awaits his arrival, QB Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. Great offense vs great defense. Should be a AFC classic.

In New England, nothing new, Cold, Playoffs, Brady, Patriots. The Houston Texans are all set to be the next victims of the Brady Bunch this Sunday, while a rare west coast playoff game in San Francisco has the 49ers taking on the Green Bay Packers on Saturday evening. In Dallas, Cowboys fans are stunned by the firing of Defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. How could Jerry Jones fire the only coach who was actually getting some coaching done in Dallas. If not for the Boyz’ defense, they would never have had a shot at the NFC East title. Go figure……..
