The countdown to the music industry’s biggest night starts tonight with The Grammy Nominations Live concert and telecast tonight on CBS. Broadcasting for the very first time ever in “Music City,” this event will be hosted by two-time Grammy winner LL Cool J (the show’s host for the last five years since it’s inception) and co-hosted by six-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift.

Newly announced performers include the latest Covergirl model and Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Janelle Monae alongside FUN. Additionally, nine-time Grammy winner Sheryl Crow, country group Little Big Town, folk/rock group TheLumineers and country singer Chris Young  have been added as presenters for the one-hour special. They join previously announced performers Luke Bryan, Hunter Hayes, three-time Grammy-winning group Maroon 5, three-time Grammy winner Ne-Yo, Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipients The Who, and The Band Perry and Dierks Bentley in a special tribute to Johnny Cash.

The show — which will announce nominations in several categories as well as feature performances by past Grammy winners and/or nominees — will take place live for the first time ever at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN on Wednesday, Dec. 5th, and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network from 10 – 11PM EST.

For the second consecutive year, music fans can view live backstage coverage of the nominations by logging on to Grammy.com/live or Livestream.com immediately following the live telecast which will also include a live one-hour concert from Maroon 5.
