President Barack Obama was a guest on the Tom Joyner Morning show this morning. He thanked millions of Americans for supporting his bid for re-election.
What is that you don’t or do understand about the nation’s debt or ‘fiscal cliff’ talks? President Obama breaks it down on the TJMS. The president wants to extend some of the Bush-era tax cuts but wants a tax hike for the top 2% or upper income households. Obama said that wealthy Americans can afford to pay a few thousand dollars extra in taxes. He said if the Republicans agree then the deal is done. If Congress get the deal done then he’ll cut programs that don’t work. He will not allow the middle class to carry the debt. He will not allow funding cuts for social programs, education and job creation.
President Obama says the nation’s budget is solvable and not a crisis.
