The vote is your fundamental right in America. It’s a lifestyle, privilege or a responsibility. It’s one of the greatest rights as citizen of the United States of America. Pastors United Around Richmond committed to the cause of getting all persons registered to vote held a GOTV rally on Tuesday at Cedar Street Baptist in Richmond, VA.

Richmond Mayor Dwight C. Jones, Rev Roscoe Cooper lll, Bishop Larry C. Miles, Dr. A. Lincoln James, and Pastor Dr. Anthony Chandler of Cedar Street Baptist Church greeted all 2,000 attendees with lots of love, hugs and the importance of voting. Rev Al Sharpton of the National Action Network was special guest and he encouraged everyone to get registered to vote and do service for your community.

Register to vote at the “One Vote Day, Voter-thon” with Miss Community Clovia and the Rolling for Freedom Project on Friday, October 12, 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. The voter-thon will be held at 18th and Broad Streets next to the Exxon Gasoline Station. Thanks to all supporting organizations Virginia Organizing, the Richmond Branch N.A.A.C.P and the Chesterfield Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
