CHICAGO – On Tuesday, August 14, Vice President Biden will kick-off a two-day tour of southern and southwestern, Virginia, including stops in Danville, Wytheville and Blacksburg.
President Obama and Vice President Biden believe the only way to create an economy built to last is to build it from the middle out, not from the top down. Vice President Biden will discuss the choice voters in Virginia have in this election – a choice between these two fundamentally different visions of how to grow the economy, create middle-class jobs, and pay down the debt. The Vice President will draw contrasts between Governor Romney’s approach, which would return us to the failed policies of the past, and President Obama’s plan to move our country forward so that hard work pays off, responsibility is rewarded and everyone gets a fair shot.
Details for the Danville event are below. Additional details on the Vice President’s events in Wytheville and Blacksburg are forthcoming.
