President Barack Obama will kick off a two-day Friday, July 13, 2012 across the Commonwealth of Virginia. The president will discuss his clear economic choice for middle class families in this election: between his vision for moving our country forward, ensuring an economy built to last and developing a strong economy build from the middle out, not top down, and Mitt Romney’s vision, which would take us back to the same failed economic policies that brought on the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.

President Obama’s  two-day stop comes on the heels of his official campaign kick-off at Virginia Commonwealth University in May and the Prince George County rally discussing his manufacturing initiatives. However, details of the trip will be released early this week. The Associated Press reported on Friday that stops would include Virginia Beach, Hampton and Roanoke but an Obama campaign spokesperson could not confirmation logistics or locations.

Virginia is a top battleground state in this presidential election. President Obama was the first democratic presidential nominee to win Virginia in 44 years. There are 17  Obama campaign offices in Virginia. President Obama is pro-middle class while Mitt Romney is an “outsource-in-chief” for the wealthy and shipping jobs overseas.

President Obama is leading his opponent Mitt Romney in Virginia by a 49% to 42% margin according to the lastest polling from Old Dominion University and the Virginia-Pilot.

Virginia’s 13 electoral votes is a factor in the Obama re-election campaign stategy.

Delegate Jennifer McClellan, represents district 71, Virginia General Assembly, discusses with me President Obama’s Virginia visit and Virginia specifics. Delegate McClellan says the president’s “Recovery Act has created 130,000 jobs in Virginia.” Virginia received 6.3 billion dollars to invest in contracts, loans and grants. “Small business benefitted from the recovery act with 18 different tax cuts.”
