“Drop the Excuses Broadcasters Blood Drive” is Monday, June 25, 2012 from 7am-7pm at the Virginia Blood Services Headquarters 2825 Emerywood Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294. Radio One listeners I need your support to get up to 500 pints of blood. Summer is usually a rough time of year for blood donations because of travel and visiting family. Meanwhile extra traffic on the roads means increased accidents causing a higher demand for blood. Help replenish the blood supply with the Virginia Blood Services. Save a life it might be your own!
If you haven’t donated blood in a while because you didn’t have the time or you’re afraid of something like needles -Drop the excuses and come out for a chance to save local lives right here in Virginia. This summer, 1 in 7 people entering the hospital in Virginia will need blood.
Honestly, who likes needles but we need your blood to save another’s life. It’s a quick stick and before you know it your done. Natural disasters and accidents are out of our control but the one thing we can control is giving blood to save lives. Teens who are 16 years of age and weigh at least 110 pounds may donate on a pint of blood. Please get out teens on the right track to donating blood to save lives.
