Back in February, we told you that Fox 2000 president Elizabeth Gabler still planned to move forward with a Waiting To Exhale sequel despite losing star Whitney Houston. “It’s almost in her honor that we think to soldier on,” she told Vulture.
Now, actress Loretta Devine has revealed things are moving at an even quicker pace in light of Think Like A Man’s success. “[That] movie was so successful they realized that people want to see romantic comedies and black ensemble pieces really work and people will support movies like that,” Devine said on CBS’ The Talk.
Devine also talked about the last time she saw Whitney and what her fondest memory of working on Exhale was.
