Singer Usher was in an Atlanta courtroom today for a custody hearing and testified that his ex Tameka Foster was so angered when he brought his current manager/girlfriend Grace Miguel to drop off one of his sons that Foster tried to fight Miguel, punched him and threw a plate of food at his car, reports The Insider.

Usher and Foster are involved in a custody fight, with the singer’s ex seeking full custody and Usher pushing for increased visitation.

Under questioning on the stand, the R&B star recounted an alleged incident that he said occurred where he went to return his son Usher V after a birthday visit to Foster’s house. He said Miguel was with him but remained in the car parked down the street from Foster’s house.

When Foster questioned Usher about why he parked down the street he responded that she should go back to the house with her son because other children were inside the residence. He said she responded: “The children are fine, why did you park down the hill?'”

Usher then told the courtroom the situation escalated from there when Foster allegedly walked down the hill, opened the car door and told Miguel: “I’m gonna kick your ass, bitch get out of the car.” Usher then said Foster started pulling at Miguel, spit at her and also took swings.

Usher said Miguel never got out of the car throughout the incident and he positioned himself between Foster and Miguel in an effort to prevent further escalation. “Tameka hit me, of course,” he said. Usher also testified that after he got back into the car and attempted to leave the neighborhood, Foster threw a plate of food she had been carrying at his car.

When asked why he didn’t press charges against Foster after the incident, Usher said he didn’t want to do that because he didn’t want any media attention or to “be known for putting the children’s mother in jail.”
