“RHOA” star Kandi Burruss stopped by HLN’s Dr. Drew talk show to give advice to women about the safety of self-pleasure products.
When asked why she created her own line, she said, “I have an online talk show. We talk openly about sex and relationships. And from there, I got an idea of what people like over the last two years. I thought, ‘I want to have my own toys’. It’s an idea I thought would be fun and it has grown into something much bigger.”
Burruss, 36, also says, she was inspired by Dr. Laura Berman, who has her own line of sex toys.
“The line is not raunchy,” she said. “It’s cool and sophisticated.”
Kandi’s mother, Joyce, was on hand to recommend ‘toys’ for older women. She cautioned, “older women also have to protect themselves from STDs while maintaning a healthy sex life.”
Though some grown women still consider a conversation about sex with their moms… awkward.
Her self-pleasure products include a pocket-size device for women that resembles lipstick for discretion, and a toy that links wirelessly to your sound system so it moves to the beat of your music. Remember, Kandi Burruss is a Grammy-winning songwriter and musician so that’s a perfect combination.
