Former NBA All-Star Dennis Rodman, who won championships with the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons, is reportedly broke and ‘very sick’, according to papers filed with an Orange County, California court, where Rodman is to appear for failure to pay child support. He owes some $800,000 in child support according to court records, but Rodman’s attorney says he is extremely sick.
Rodman also owes an additional $51,000 in spousal support to his third wife, Michelle Rodman, as well as two children ages 9 and 10. His attorney says the former Bad Boy is broke and can hardly support himself, much less pay child support. In fact, Rodman’s attorney, Linnea Willis, says she is representing him pro bono. He also owes $5,000 in support of another child he fathered outside of his marraige.
Rodman was just inducted into the Basketball Hall Of Fame in August of 2011, and the news that he is financially destitute is shocking to most of his fans. He has five NBA championship rings, but no money?
