The details of Whitney Houston’s official death certificate, issued by the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health, have been revealed.
In addition to basic and well-known information (Whitney’s occupation is listed as “entertainer,” her next of kin is listed as Bobbi Kristina), the manner of death for Whitney Elizabeth Houston is listed as “pending investigation,” and the immediate cause of death is listed as “deferred.”
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office subpoenaed the medical and pharmacological records of Houston as part of their investigation into her death, and the singer’s toxicology results, although requested to be expedited, are not expected for a few weeks’ time.
Whitney’s funeral has already been announced as set for this Saturday at noon at Newark’s New Hope Baptist Church. The certificate also revealed, just like her father, the iconic singer will be laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, N.J.
