In an interview that aired this morning on the Today’s show with Matt Lauer. President Obama stated that, “I deserve a second term, but we’re not done. When you and I sat down, we were losing 750,000 jobs a month. … Now we’re creating 250,000. We’ve created 3.7 million jobs in the last 23 months. We’ve created the most jobs since 2005, the most manufacturing jobs since 1990, but we’re not finished.”

The President also talked about the growing tensions between Israel and Iran.  Iran is suspected of nuclear weapons and hasn’t taken the “diplomatic steps” to stop their efforts of building nuclear weapons.  President Obama stated, “I don’t think that Israel has made a decision on what they need to do. They, like us, believe that Iran needs to stand down on its nuclear weapons program.”

President Obama  still hopes that he can work diplomatically with Iran, but if Iran doesn’t cooperate he is prepared to meet them with diplomatic options.
