Despite all of her recent baby daddy drama, actress Halle Berry is very excited about one thing.
Berry is stepping into an exciting new business venture, creating her first shoe line – 5th Avenue by Halle Berry, with German retailer Deichmann Shoes.
Berry is a spokesperson in Europe for the German company and helped design 40 limited edition shoes in stylish designs from studded gladiator wedges to woven flats.
“I feel honored because I like all these shoes I would wear, so it’s nice to be a part of something that I really believe in, that I think is a quality product to offer the consumer. To have my name on that feels really good,“ Berry said.
Halle feels shoes are “an expression of who you are. “Women have always loved shoes,” she said. “It’s like if your hair is not right and your shoes are not right, the woman is not right. If both of them are right, you’re pretty much OK. Shoes are a statement.”
The spring/summer 2012 collection hits shelves in 21 European countries starting in Early March, although there are no reports on when they will arrive in the US.
