UPDATE: NBC reports that the GOP Iowa caucuses votes are certified and Rick Santorum is the apparent winner of the caucus and not Mitt Romney. Santorum lead the caucus with 29,839 votes to Romney’s 29,805 votes.

GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney has two wins to date,  a caucus and the first primary in New Hampshire. Are voters ready for a moderate to sometimes conservative Romney in today’s South Carolina primary? Newt Gingrich thinks today’s primary is his win.

Newt Gingrich says Mitt Romney can’t by this primary. He said, “people power will beat money power”. It is true, Mitt Romney has money. MSNBC reports that Romney has $8 million in 12 investments funds in the Cayman Islands. His campaign says Romney follows all tax laws regardless of where his money is invested. In fact, Romney paid 15% in taxes.

All votes are important for the South Carolina primary today but just as important are the votes from the evangelicals and the military.

According to the latest NBC polls Romney is heading into the South Carolina primary with 37% to Gingrich’s 30%. Ginrich is gaining supporters up by 11%.

The NBC/Marist Poll show that 56% of voters say Mitt Romney as the GOP presidential nominee is “acceptable”.

The polls will close at 7 p.m.
