“The Biggest Loser” trainer Jillian Michaels’ dream of becoming a mom is inching closer to reality.

In February, Michaels revealed she was leaving her post on NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” to focus on adding to her family through adoption – says she’s been paired up with a child, and the only thing standing in her way is paperwork and a trip stateside for her future little one.

“I’ve been matched with a little girl,” Jillian excitedly revealed Friday. “But, I now have to get her home… It could take up to a year to get her home.”

Jillian, 37, met the girl she is hoping to adopt on a trip to Haiti.

“I went over to visit orphanages and I ended up falling in love with this little girl, and by the grace of God, I got matched up with her,” she said. “So now, it’s just a matter of trying to get her home and anything can happen and fall through or fall apart, so it’s kind of premature for me to say it, but that’s where it’s at.

“So if it falls apart, you’ll know why I’m like, devastated and not coming out of my house for months,” she added.

Back in April, the tough-talking trainer said she was making “huge progress” in her quest to adopt, although the anticipation was taking a toll on her body.

“I’m actually so excited,” Jillian said, when asked about the status of her adoption. “The government shut down almost, [and] all I could think about was my 600A [immigration adoption] form! I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’ve developed an eye twitch!’

“I called my business partner and was like, ‘My eye is spontaneously twitching,'” she continued. “But then, fortunately, I just got my immigration paper. So now I’m this much closer and all the paperwork is done. It just needs to go to the various embassies. It’s a godsend.”
