The Occupy Richmond protesters were denied a permit to camp out in Richmond parks. The protesters met in Monroe Park on Tuesday and decided to take up Ray Boone’s offer to camp out in his yard in South Richmond. Boone is the founder and owner of the Richmond Free Press newspaper.
By the way, Boone is the neighbor of Richmond Mayor Dwight C. Jones. Over a dozen of occupiers are camped out in Boone’s yard. Police are on patrol in the neighborhood.
