The search continues for Robert ‘Robbie’ Wood, Jr of Caroline County, VA. The 9 year old autistic boy was last seen hiking with his family on Sunday in the North Anna Battlefield Park in Hanover County, VA. This is day-6 in the search for Robbie.
Many area residents have showed up for the search, including dive teams, tracking dogs, and 1500 volunteers.
The Hanover County Sheriff’s office is asking for more volunteers today. A sheriff’s spokesperson disclosed Wednesday that search crews have placed several ‘survival packs’ with food, water and blankets around the park but none have been touched.
Due to the severity of Robbie’s autism he may be cautious of approaching any of the volunteers looking for him. However, investigators are optimistic that Robbie is alive.
If you would like to join in on the search for Robbie you must be at least 18 & older and meet at 9am at the Meadow Event Park in Doswell, VA.
