November 28-December 2; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Salvation Army Tri-Cities Service Center, 1228 S. West Street in Petersburg
PLEASE NOTE: Spanish speaking individuals are asked to register on the following dates: November 28-December 2; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club, 3701 R Street in Richmond
The Salvation Army will have interpreters available on those dates ONLY!
There will be NO late registration days this year!
Participation in the Christmas Assistance Program is available to children ages birth-14 years old
All applicants will be required to bring the following in order to register for Christmas Assistance:
-A photo I.D.
-Social Security cards for applicants and ALL children
-Birth certificate for ALL children
-If the child is not the applicant’s, the applicant will need to provide proof of guardianship (custody papers)
-Proof of expenses (rent/mortgage, cable and cell phone)
-Proof of income (recent paycheck stubs)
The Salvation Army will not register clients without this information and please note, children are not allowed at registration.
The Salvation Army in Central Virginia served more than 10,500 children in 2010 through its Christmas Assistance Programs.
