President Barack Obama is still on the road selling his $447 billion American Jobs Act proposal. Obama’s Bus Tour made stops in Virginia and North Carolina October 17-19, 2011. Supporters are buying the American Jobs Act proposal but not Congress.

President Obama and First Lady held a rally at the Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton Wednesday. The Obamas  talked about a new private sector commitment to hire 25,000 veterans and military spouses over the next two years.

Later, President Obama ended his 3-day American Jobs Act bus tour at Fire Station 9 on Buford Road in Chesterfield. He said, Congress didn’t pass his $447 billion jobs plan but he wants it passed piece by piece to keep firefighters, police and teachers working.

My 4 year old daughter, Kenya Sarai is a student at the Learning Playhouse which is across the street from Fire Station 9 and she has an update for us on President Obama’s visit.

President Obama says his jobs act is simple: put more people back to work and put more money in the pockets of working Americans without adding a dime to the deficit. “It’s fully paid for” says President Obama.
