Distracted driving contributes to up to 8,000 crashes every single day. The AAA Foundation and AAA are supporting ‘Heads Up Driving Week’ through October 8. Texting while driving is dangerous and illegal in Virginia. The 2011 survey shows that 95% of drivers believe that texting while driving is dangerous yet 35% said they viewed or sent a text message the previous month.
