The following is updated information related to Henrico County’s response efforts to Hurricane Irene:
Henrico Hurricane Hotline: Residents with storm-related questions should continue to call the Henrico Hurricane Hotline at 501-7413.
Road Closures: White Oak Road is closed between Route 60 and Elko Road; Sandy Lane is closed between Creighton Road and Watts Lane; Creighton Road is closed at the Henrico-Hanover county line.
Storm Debris: Residents can haul unbagged storm-related yard debris and vegetative waste free of charge to Henrico’s East and West landfills; bagged yard waste and bulky waste such as scrap wood, drywall, carpets and soiled food is $3 per load. Contractors can haul yard debris and vegetative waste for $50 per ton.
Water Filling Stations: Residents can obtain free water at Fire Station No. 2, 2400 Darbytown Road, and at Fire Station No. 15, 3820 Mountain Road. Residents should bring their own containers; bottled water will not be provided.
Shelter/Assistance: Residents needing shelter or other assistance should contact the Department of Social Services at 501-4001.
Libraries Status: Dumbarton, Fairfield, Municipal, Sandston and Twin Hickory are open; Glen Allen, North Park, Tuckahoe and Varina closed.
Recreation Centers/Parks Status: Armour House, Deep Run, Belmont, Henrico Theater, Walkerton, RF&P and Springfield are open; Confederate Hills, Dorey, Hunton, Meadowview, Glen Lea and Roslyn Hills are closed. (Meadow Farm, Dabbs House and Three Lakes are closed per their normal operating schedule)
