Actress Betty White has been voted ‘America’s Most Trusted Celebrity’ in a Reuters marketing poll.
White scored an 86% favorable ranking, taking the first place spot and beating out Denzel Washington who came in second place; Sandra Bullock in third; Clint Eastwood in fourth; and Tom Hanks in fifth place.
The same poll rated Paris Hilton as the Most Unfavorable Celebrity, followed by Charlie Sheen, Britney Spears and Kanye West in a three-way tie.
That list differs from the E-Score Celebrity research poll, which in August showed Casey Anthony, Octomom Nadya Suleman, OJ Simpson, Jon Gosselin, Levi Johnston and Paris Hilton as ‘America’s Most Hated People’.
As the only surviving member of “The Golden Girls”, Betty White has seen a career resurgence in recent years including her Emmy win for her Saturday Night Live hosting gig.
