After Being Accused of Beating His Wife, ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Russell Armstrong Commits Suicide
Shocking, sad news!
‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star Russell Armstrong has died of an apparent suicide, TMZ reports.
The estranged husband of ‘Housewife’ Taylor Armstrong was found dead in his L.A. home, sources said.
According to TMZ, Armstrong hung himself Monday evening. No suicide note was found on the scene.
Less than 1-month ago, Taylor Armstrong filed for divorce from Russell, accusing him of abuse. Viewers were not surprised, since Russell seemed to be an introvert and seemed very controlling of his wife.
In a July interview with People magazine, Taylor said that Russell was emotionally and sometimes physically abusive to her. Taylor explained that their arguments would escalate with name calling, pushing and pulling hair.
Russell didn’t deny Taylors claims saying, “Did I push her? Yes, maybe things happened in the heat of the moment, but it was during a time in our lives that was not characteristic of who we were. This show has literally pushed us to the limit.”
And when it rains it pours! Besides his wife filing for divorce, Russell was also having trouble with his venture capital business. Late last month, a lawsuit was filed in L.A. court which states that Russell “breached his fiduciary duty.” A $1.5 million lawsuit accused Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong of using business funds for their own personal gain, like redecorating their house.
Russell Armstrong, 47, and Taylor Armstrong, 40, have a 5-year-old daughter named Kennedy.
The new season of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” premieres September 5th.
