Former Talk Show Host/Actress Ricki Lake is engaged — again!
The happy news comes straight from the bride-to-be, who couldn’t hold the secret in any longer.
Lake, 42, tweeted Thursday afternoon, “Thrilled to share some happy news with you… I’m engaged!”
An hour later Ricki tweeted, “The cat is out of the bag. Phew! I’m terrible at keeping secrets.”
Lake and her fiancé Christian Evans, 40, began dating last summer after meeting through mutual friends. She recently spoke of the new man in her life gushing, “I’m totally in love. I’m happier than I’ve ever been.”
Earlier this summer, Ricki said she was in no rush to walk down the aisle with Evans, whom she described as “a nobody, but he’s a somebody to me.” She continued to gush: “He’s everything to me.”
This will be the second marriage for Ricki Lake, who is divorced from artist Rob Sussman. The are parents of 14-year-old son Milo and 10-year-old son Owen. Ricki and Rob ended their relationship in 2010 after 10 years of marriage.
No word yet on when Lake and Evans (a jewelry designer) will be walking down the aisle. They were in Spain on vacation and he popped the question.
