Miami cops arrested Rapper Antwan “Big Boi” Patton on Sunday on multiple drug charges, according to booking information posted on the Miami-Dade jail website.
Big Boi, 36, was charged with illegal possession of Viagra and Ecstasy pills, as well as MDMA powder (which is the main ingredient in Ecstasy) with intent to use. Bail on the charges was set at $16,000.
According to reports, Big Boi aka Antwan Patton, was stopped by customs and border patrol officials as he exited a cruise ship. Reportedly, the drug-sniffing dogs alerted officers.
Big Boi is best known as half of the rap duo OutKast, which includes Andre 3000. The Atlanta-based group won 6 Grammy Awards and churned out 6 platinum-plus albums, including “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below,” which sold over 10 million copies.
