A new Muslim Mosque is coming to Western Henrico County. Right now, the muslim population in Henrico County is approximately 4,000 people.
The new Islamic Center will be constructed on Impala Drive, near Hilliard Road.
A huge crowd gathered as the Henrico County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously, 5-0 to rezone a Muslim Mosque in the county. The voting took place Tuesday night at the main government center on Parham Road.
Some neighbors in the area fear extremism, while others fear heavy traffic in the neighborhood.
