Tom Joyner Back-To-School Five City Live Broadcast Emphasizes Importance of Education for All Ages THIS FRIDAY AUGUST 5th

 

The Tom Joyner Morning Show partners with the Cincinnati, Columbia, Memphis, Nashville and Philadelphia communities to take old school and new school…Back to School

 

Dallas, TX – August 1, 2011– Tom Joyner, host of the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show, is taking his audience of 8 million back to school with a special live broadcast from five cities simultaneously in an effort to prepare listeners to pursue their educational goals whether entering elementary school, high school, college or going back to earn a degree.  The Tom Joyner Back to School event hits airwaves Friday, August 5th from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. EST.  

Joyner and the morning show crew, who reach more than eight million listeners in over 105 markets, will once again host the Back to School live events from TJMS affiliate stations in five major markets across the country.  The co-hosts and cities for August 5th include: J Anthony Brown in Memphis, Sybil Wilkes in Nashville, Roland Martin in Philadelphia and comedians Damon Williams and Dominique in Cincinnati and Columbia respectively.  Joyner will anchor the show from the TJMS “Red Velvet Cake” studios in Dallas. 

Other morning show affiliates across the country will hold back to school events as well throughout the month of August.  Listeners are invited to visit any local special broadcast location to participate in activities and receive needed school items as well as useful information to kick off the 2010-2011 school year. 

This year’s national partners and sponsor include NASA, NBA Cares, NFL Play 60 and the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
