NFL WR Randy Moss, who’s gotten only light interest during the free agent rush, has apparently decided to hang up his helmet and call it a career.  While reports insist Moss is indeed retiring, I’m just a bit skeptical.  This has all the earmarks of a Brett Favre drama move so forgive me if I ain’t buying it.  Moss certainly has the financial wealth to walk away from the game, but all the reports during the off-season said Moss was in “freakish” physical shape and ready to go for the 2011 season.  Sounds like he’s enjoying that summer vacation and wants to extend it.  Granted, he’s played 13 years, so indeed, he could be serious, but at his age, with his deep pockets, who wants to do two-a-days in this summer heat?   For now, Randy Moss, who played with the Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, and the Tennessee Titans last season, has retired at age 34.
