Just two years ago, most thought Chris Brown wouldn’t be able to resurrect his career after assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna in February 2009. That theory has been proven wrong.

Brown’s fans, known as teambreezy, showed up in huge numbers to support him yet again for his “Today” show performance Friday, which broke the previous record for the biggest “Today” concert ever with over 18,000 fans in attendance!

Diehard members of teambreezy started camping out along NYC’s 5th Avenue Wednesday in order to catch Chris Brown’s performance. The 22-year-old R&B singer performed several of his hits, including “Can Transform Ya,” “She Ain’t You,” and “Forever,” all while showing off his incredible dance moves.

After the show, Chris tweeted: “I love teambreezy so much. Wish the concert was longer today! Thx you Today Show for your everything Love ya! I love my fans!!!! It is really truly an honor and a blessing to create music and evoke emotion for positivity. Can’t live without my fans.”
